Phrase Substitution
A group of words that are used together is called a phrase. It is a part of sentence but can't be a sentence standalone.
When we talk about phrase replacement, that means there is a wrong phrase given in that sentence which is bold, italic or highlighted. And we have to change it to correct form.
Now how to know that phrase is correct or not.
1 ) Read the sentence carefully , I mean if there is no error detected then leave it. Do not change it forcefully.
2 ) If you are feeling something is wrong, double check the phrase and match with the whole sentence.
3) It depends on whole grammar. i.e. can be wrong usage of verb, noun, subject-verb agreement etc.
4 ) If you are unable to detect the error try to eliminate options.
Examples :
1 ) Less than a million of rupees are required immediately. Go to the bank and withdraw the cash.
Ans : " rupees is " is correct.
